Africa 108 Educate
AFRICA 108 EDUCATE is a FREE access to universal Education Program that will construct 54 Schools and 54 Libraries for 54 communities in 54 countries in Africa.
Expected and Achievable Impact:-
- Create access to universal education for 54 Communities in 54 countries in Africa
- Create 100% young Educated 54 communities in 54 African Countries
- Achieve 100% girls education for 54 communities in 54 countries in Africa
- Increase literacy rates
- Increase employability and or career path security and independence
EMPIRICAL EVIDENCES/STATISTICS:
- In 2013, 59 million children of primary school age were out of school, and enrolment of girls continues to lack behind that of boys.
- Over a fifth of children between the ages of 6 and 11 are out of school, followed by a third of youths aged 12 and 14.
- 23% of girls are out of primary school compared to 19% of boys. By the time they become adolescents, the exclusion rate for girls is 36% compared to 32% for boys.
- According to UIS data, almost 60% of youth between the ages of about 15 and 17 are not in school.
Africa Bosses 54 – Enterprise Development
AFRICA 54 BOSSES is a FREE youth focused Entrepreneurship Training and Mentorship Program that guarantees access to start-up finance for 54 communities in 54 countries in Africa.
Expected and Achievable Impact:-
- Provide youth business mentoring and continued skills development to succeed
- Making access to finance easier, as opposed to historically cumbersome processes
- Help youth entrepreneurs easier market access
- Help youth entrepreneurs gain market incentives access
- Reverse illegal migration
The project seeks to invest in individuals, businesses, community groups on Enterprise development that foster innovative creative Entrepreneurship that help build long-term sustainability within disadvantaged communities in Africa.
EMPIRICAL EVIDENCES/STATISTICS:
- Africa’s population will reach 2 billion by 2050 and the continent will have to create 20 million jobs per year.
- According to a Commonwealth study, the youth unemployment rate is 11.1%, due to the limited formal jobs available
- The data for Zambia show that only 5.4 percent of the younger female youth in the age category 15 – 19 years were engaged in running enterprises as proprietors compared to 15.1 percent among male youth.
- The role of self-employment as a source of livelihoods and employment is particularly important in developing countries, especially in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) or Africa south of the Sahara.
- Africa’s small enterprises, from traders to farmers, contribute to more than 80 percent of output and jobs in most African nation.
Africa Vocational 54 -“SKILLS 4LIFE”
AFRICA 54 SKILLS is a FREE youth focus Vocational Training and Mentorship Program that on our evolutionary artisanship and other lifelong skills programs. The project will build 54 Vocational Centres for 54 communities in 54 countries in Africa.
The gap between the skills of the current workforce and the skills businesses need to achieve their growth plans is widening. Despite rising business confidence equating to more jobs and the growing economies within Africa, organisations are struggling to find the right people to fill these positions.
Expected and Achievable Impacts:-
- Reverse the dying African artisanship for sustainable development and life long earning opportunity for our youth
- Women and Men will equally access skills training and development
- Create substantial employment opportunities and earning for communities
- Create life long job security and work placements for youth
EMPIRICAL EVIDENCES/STATISTICS:
- 72% of the youth population in Sub-Saharan Africa lives on less than $2 a day.
- In Africa the ratio of youth-to-adult unemployment rate equals three and a half
- In Sub-Saharan Africa 3 in 5 of the total unemployed are young people
- Young people are more likely than adults to work in the informal sector. In Ethiopia, for example, 81.4% of the youth work in the informal sector compared to 43% of adults
Young people constitute a growing part of Africa’s overall population. Compared to other regions, Sub-Saharan Africa’s youth population is expected to increase dramatically over the next 40 years. By 2025, one in every four-young people worldwide will be from a Sub-Saharan country.
